Pudding Cake




1 package White or Yellow Cake Mix
1 small package Jell-O
1 cup soda pop of same flavor as Jell-O
1 cup hot water

Topping:
1 large package of Instant Vanilla pudding
1 1/2 cups Milk
1 carton of Cool Whip

Bake cake mix as directed on the box. Let cool and then poke holes all over cake, but not all the way to bottom. Mix Jell-O with hot water. Add soda pop of same flavor as jell-o and pour over cake in holes. Spread topping over cake and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Keep leftovers refrigerated.

Caramel Banana Cream Pie



1 pkg Banana Cream Pudding
3 bananas, sliced
1 graham cracker crust
1 jar of caramel sauce
Cool Whip

Place sliced bananas in pie crust.  Pour prepared pudding over bananas.  Drizzle caramel sauce over pudding.  Refrigerate for an hour.  Serve with Cool Whip.

Lemon Jell-O Salad with Pineapple, Cheese, and Nuts

1 small can Crushed Pineapple (drained)
1/2 cup Sugar
1 package Lemon or Orange Jell-O
1 cup Water
1/2 cup Walnuts
1 cup Cheddar Cheese
1 cup Cool Whip

Bring the pineapple and sugar to a boil, then add the jell-o and water. Cook until dissolved. Chill until it starts to set and then add nuts, cheese, and whipped cream. Refrigerate before and after serving.

Lemon Custard


2 small packages of Lemon Jell-o
2 cups boiling water
2 small cans of frozen lemonade
2 cups of evaporated milk
3 tsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Add water to jell-o and dissolve. Add lemonade and stir until dissolved. Put in fridge and let it get syrupy. Put evaporated milk in the freezer. When ice crystals have formed all around the outside, take out and whip until stiff. Add sugar and vanilla. Gently fold whipped milk into lemon jell-o. Crush graham crackers and put on bottom of 13 by 10 inch cage pan. Pour desert in and sprinkle with crushed graham crackers. Put back in fridge to set.

English Trifle



1 angel food cake
1 package Strawberries
1 package Strawberry danish desert
1 package Custard jell-o
1 carton whipped cream

Break up cake and place in a 9 by 13 inch pan. Place strawberries over cake. Cook strawberry danish desert and jell-o and cool and add to cake. Add whipped cream on top.

Emerald Salad

1 package lemon jello
1 package lime jello
2 cups of boiling water or pineapple juice
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup cottage cheese
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup walnuts
1 grated carrot

Dissolve jellos into water or pineapple juice. Let set just hard enough to beat. After beating, add crushed pineapple, mayonnaise, cottage cheese, evaporated milk, nuts, grated carrot. Put in cake pan. Serve on lettuce with a bit of salad dressing on top.

Cream Cheese Jello Salad

This is Cherie's recipe:

2 packages Lime Jell-o
1 package Lemon Jell-o
5 cups Water
8 oz. Cream Cheese
1 can Pears
1 package Dream Whip

Mix 2 cups water with jello and add 3 cups cold water. Dissolve jello. Stir in cream cheese and pears. Add dream whip.

Heavenly Hash

This is Cleone's recipe:

1 can of canned Milk
2 packages of red Jell-o
Marshmallows
Walnuts
2 Large bananas
1 bottle Maraschino Cherries
Graham Crackers

Whip canned milk and add it to jello, set until firm. Add marshmallows, nuts, bananas, cut maraschino cherries. Use juice from cherries and place on bottom of pan and add jello mixture. Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs on top and refrigerate.

Strawberry Salad

2 small packages Strawberry Jell-O
2 cups Boiling Water
1-2 cans Crushed Pineapple and Juice
2 packages Frozen or Fresh sliced strawberries
2 mashed Bananas
1/2 pint Sour Cream

Stir jell-o into hot water and add frozen strawberries, including juice. When berries are thawed, add bananas and pineapple. Put half of jell-o mixture in 9 by 13 pan and chill until set. Then spread sour cream on top and chill again, until cream is firm. Add remaining jell-o and chill until ready to serve. Serves 12.

2 Jell-O's Salad

This is my mom's friend, Alan's recipe:

1 small Lime Jell-o
1 small Lemon Jell-o
2 cups water
1/2 cup Sugar
1-2 cans Crushed Pineapple & Juice
1 pint Whipped Cream
1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese

Dissolve jell-o's in boiling water with sugar. When dissolved, add pineapple chunks and juice. Let lemon jello set until syrupy. Then fold in whipped cream until quite stiff and grated cheese.

Orange Salad

2 packages Orange Jell-o
2 cups Boiling Water
1 pint Orange Sherbet
1 can Mandarin Oranges
1 pint Whipped Cream
1 can Crushed Pineapple

Stir jello and water until dissolved. add orange sherbet. Stir until dissolved. Put pan in freezer for a few minutes, until it begins to thicken. Stir in mandarin oranges after cutting them in half. Add whipped cream and pineapple.

7-Up Salad

2 small packages Lemon Jell-O
2 cups Boiling Water
2 cup Chilled 7-Up
1 cup Mini Marshmallows
2 Sliced Bananas
1 (20 oz) can Crushed Pineapple

Topping

1/2 cup Sugar
2 tbsp Flour
1 cup Pineapple Juice
1 Beaten Egg
2 tbsp Margarine or Butter
1 cup Whipped Cream

Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water in 9 by 13 pan. Add 7-up. Drain pineapple, but reserve juice for topping. Add pineapple, bananas, and marshmallows. Set. After set, Cook sugar, flour, juice, and egg until thick. Stir in butter. Cool, fold in whip cream. Add topping to jell-o

Raspberry Salad

1 large package Raspberry Jell-O
3 Cups Boiling Water
1 package frozen Raspberries
1 can crushed Pineapple
3 bananas, sliced
1 cup chopped walnuts
1 carton Whipped Cream

Dissolve jell-o in hot water. Add frozen berries, pineapple, bananas, and nuts. Refrigerate until set. Put whipped cream on top.
