Sugar Cookie Buttercream Frosting

3/4 cup Milk

1 stick butter

1 tsp Vanilla

5 cups of confectioner's sugar

Place butter in a bowl and let it warm to room temperature.  Melt in the microwave if needed.  Mix butter and 1/2 cup of the milk together and blend until creamy.  Add vanilla and mix together.  Add 4 cups of confectioner's sugar and mix.  Add 1/4 cup of milk and blend.  Frosting should be thicker than a glaze.  If took thick, add more milk.  If too much liquid, add more confectioner's sugar. Add food coloring if desired..

Chocolate Frosting

Chocolate Frosting:

1/3 cup Milk
1 stick Margarine or Butter
1/4 cup Cocoa
1 tsp Vanilla
4 cups Powdered Sugar

In a bowl, combine milk, butter, cocoa.  Add powdered sugar and vanilla.  Beat until smooth and thick. Great for peanut butter fingers, cakes, and brownies.

Strawberry Frosting


1 cube margarine or butter
1 package powdered sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1/3 cups frozen strawberries

Mix together and refrigerate.

Pumpkin Orange Cookies


This is Zig Peacocks's recipe:

1 cup butter
2 tbsp orange juice
1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
1 cup sugar
1 tsp orange zest
2 1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking soda

Cream butter and sugar. Add pumpkin, orange juice, zest, and egg. Gradually add dry ingredients. Drop tablespoons on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes.

Frosting:

1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 to 3 tbsp orange juice
1/2 tsp orange zest

Mix till smooth and drizzle over cookies.

Chocolate Marshmallow Bars

2 squares butter or margarine
1/3 cup cocoa
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 cup walnuts
2 tsp vanilla
1 package Mini Marshmallows

Mix butter, cocoa, and sugar well. Add eggs and beat well after adding flour, walnuts, and vanilla. Put on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from oven and coven with marshmallows and return to oven for 3 minutes. Let cool 1 hour, then spread icing on top.

Icing:

1/2 cup butter
1 1/3 cup powdered sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
1/3 cup canned milk

Mix and Let stand room temperature over night or all day.

Orange Lemon Frosting

This is Cleone's recipe:

2 tsp Orange Rind
1/2 tsp Grated Lemon Rind
3 tbsp Butter
1 egg, unbeaten
Dash of salt
3 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
2 tbsp Orange Juice
1 tbsp Lemon Juice

Add orange and lemon rinds to butter and cream well. Add egg and salt and blend. Add sugar alternately with fruit juice, beating until right consistency.

Frosting

This is my grandmother Cleone's recipe:

1 egg white
1 cup Sugar
1/4 tsp Cream of Tartar
6 tbsp Cold Water
1 tsp Flavoring

Beat all ingredients until thick.

Coconut Pecan Frosting

2/3 cup Sugar
2 Egg Yolks
1/2 tsp Vanilla
1 cup Chopped Pecans
2/3 cup Evaporated Milk
1/2 cup Shortening
1 1/2 cups Coconut

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, evaportate milk, egg yolks, and shortening. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, coconut, and pecans. Cool 15 minutes. Spread on German Chocolate cake.

Pineapple Cake

2 cups Flour
2 cups Sugar
1 (20 oz.) Can Crush Pineapple in Juice
2 tsp Baking Soda
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla

Mix together and put in 9 by 13 greased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.

Frosting:

8 oz. Cream Cheese
1 stick Margarine
1 1/2 cup Powdered sugar
1 tsp Vanilla

Mix together and spread over cake.

German Chocolate Frosting

This is Vivian Wayment's recipe:

6 oz Evaporated Milk
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup butter
2 3/4 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup walnuts
1 cup coconut

Place on stove on medium heat and cook until thick, about 12 minutes. Add vanilla. coconut and nuts.
