Banana Bread
I made Shayna's Banana Bread, but I substituted peanut butter for almond butter and milk chocolate chips for dark.

Peanut Butter Banana Bread
Cinnamon Banana Bread
3 Bananas
1 cup Sugar
2 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 cup Chopped walnuts
2 Eggs
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Shortening
1 tbsp Warm Water
2/3 cup sugar
1 tbsp Cinnamon
Mash bananas and add sugar. Let stand about 15 minutes. Add shortening to banana mixture. Beat and add eggs. Add all dry ingredients, except baking soda and 2/3 cup sugar, 1 tbsp cinnamon. Add chopped walnuts. Dissolve baking soda in warm water, and add. Stir only until mixed. In a separate bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon. Pour half of batter into greased loaf. Sprinkle half of cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Add rest of batter. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top. Bake in greased loaf at 350 degrees for about 50 to 80 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.

Homemade Bread
This is Lael Wall's recipe:
7 cups Unbleached Flour
2 tbsp Salt
2 tbsp Powdered Milk
2 tbsp Instant Yeast
2/3 cup Sugar
Blend together.
Add:
5 1/2 cups water
6 tbsp oil.
Blend then add 6 cups of flour.
Mix for 7 minutes.
Put in oiled bowl.
Let rise till doubled in size.
Punch down and let rise 40 minutes.
Punch down and let rise 20 minutes.
Roll out into 4 loaves.
Let rise 15 minutes.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

Dilly Bread
1 cake yeast
1/4 cup water
1 cup cottage cheese
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 unbeaten egg
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp minced onion
1 tbsp melted butter
2 tsp dill seed
2 1/4 to 1/2 cups flour
Soften yeast in 1/4 cup water. Heat cottage cheese until warm. Place all ingredients in large mixing bowl, mixing the flour in, gradually. Knead until well mixed. Let rise for 1 hour. Knead dough down and place in well greased casserole pan. Let rise until doubled about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Brush top of bread with 1 tsp soft butter and sprinkle with onion salt.

Garlic Bread
6 pieces of Italian Bread
2 cloves of Garlic
2 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Place bread on aluminum foil on cookie sheet. Drizzle olive oil on top of each slice. Crumble garlic over the top. If desired, sprinkle parmesan cheese on top as well. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown.

Lemon Bread
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
Grated peel of 1 lemon
2 eggs
1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
Cream shortening, sugar, and beaten eggs. Add flour, baking powder, salt, milk, lemon peel and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Combine icing ingredients and mix. Poke holes in bread and pour icing in while hot.
Icing:
1/4 cup sugar
Juice of 1 lemon

Poppy Seed Bread
This is RuthAnn's recipe:
3 cups flour
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cup milk
1 cup oil
3 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp butter flavoring
1 1/2 tsp almond flavoring
Makes 2 loaves. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 45 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes, before put on glaze. Cool for 10 minutes and tap cake out of pan.

1/4 cup orange juice
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp butter flavoring
1/2 tsp almond flavoring

2 cups Grated Zucchini
1 cup Salad Oil
2 cups Sugar
2 tsp Vanilla
3 cups Flour
1 tsp Cloves
3 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts
1 tsp Nutmeg
Mix eggs, zucchini, salad oil, sugar, and vanilla. Sift and add flour, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Add nuts. Grease 2 loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 50- 60 minutes. Cool on racks.

Chocolate Zucchini Bread
This is my grandmother Cleone's recipe:
1 cup Oil
2 1/4 cups Sugar
3 Eggs
3 cups Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 cups Zuchinni, shredded
3/4 cups Cocoa
1 tsp Vanilla
Cream eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla and blend together. Blend in separate bowl, flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Then add to egg mix. Then add cocoa. Add nuts if preferred. Add zucchini last and mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Bread Sticks
1 tbsp Yeast
1 1/2 cup Warm Water
2 tbsp Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Salt
3-5 cups Flour
1/2 cup Melted Margarine
Dissolve yeast in water and add sugar and salt. Add flour until not sticky, and stir 3 minutes. Let rest 10 minutes. Melt margarine on cookie sheet. Roll doll into 6 by 20 inch rectangle. Sprinkle with garlic salt and Parmesan Cheese. Cut into strips. Let rest on sheet 15-30 minutes. Bake 20 minutes at 375 degrees.

4 Eggs
1 LB Walnuts
1 LB Dates, chopped
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Flour
1 TSP Baking Soda
1/2 TSP Salt
1 TSP Vanilla
Stir dry ingredients and add dates and nuts. Add beaten egg yolks. Beat egg whites until stiff and add to mixture. Add vanilla. Bake 60 minutes at 275 degrees.

1 cup Raisins
1 cup Currents
1/2 cup walnuts
1/4 tsp Salt
1 tsp Nutmeg
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Vanilla
1/2 cup Butter
2 Eggs
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 cups flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 cup Dates
1 cup Candied Cherries
1 cup Canned Pineapple
1 cup Applesauce
1 cup Gum drops
In a sauce pan, boil water, half the sugar, half the shortening, molasses, raisins, currents, nuts, salt, nutmegs, Cinnamon, and vanilla, Allow to boil for three minutes. Let cool. Add remaining sugar, butter, and eggs. Mix baking soda with a small amount of warm water. Add to cooled mixture. Add flour and baking powder. Add dates, cherries, pineapple, applesauce, and gum drops. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake at 275 degrees for 1 hours.
