German Chocolate Frosting

This is Vivian Wayment's recipe:

6 oz Evaporated Milk
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup butter
2 3/4 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup walnuts
1 cup coconut

Place on stove on medium heat and cook until thick, about 12 minutes. Add vanilla. coconut and nuts.
