Frosted Chocolate Cookies

This is my great grandmother Bardella's recipe:

1 1/4 Cup Flour
3/4 Cup Baking Soda
3/4 TSP Salt
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1/3 Cup Shortening
1 TSP Vanilla
2/3 Cup Milk
2 squares Chocolate or 2 TSP Cocoa
1 Egg

Mix sugar, shortening, and egg. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and milk. Add chocolate and vanilla. Form into balls and Bake on a greased sheet at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. Then frost when cooled.
