This is Peacocks's recipe:
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
4 tsp baking powder
4 1/2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Cream sugar and shortening. Mix in eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Mix dry ingredients together and mix in well. Chill for several hours. Roll out on floured surface. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
